About Us

About Us

Hi! We’re Michele and Michael, parents to a lively crew of three: two-year-old identical twin girls and a five-year-old son. Between juggling toddler schedules, birthday parties, and weekend outings, we quickly realized just how tricky it can be to find fun, age-appropriate experiences for young children. Most places are closed to birthday parties, open play spots fill up fast, and making connections with other families often feels like guesswork.

Our Mission

As parents in the thick of it, we decided to take matters into our own hands, and that’s how The Weekend Kids Club was born. Our mission is simple: to simplify weekends for families in that “in-between” stage, past baby groups, but still too young for school, sports, or activity-based friendships, by creating thoughtfully planned, age-appropriate experiences where children can socialize, explore, and acclimate to activities before school age. Our sessions open children’s eyes to a variety of creative experiences. From open play and art to music, culinary, and more, all while helping parents build community and confidence in choosing the right activities. Every venue we partner with is carefully vetted to ensure it’s a great fit for toddlers, taking the guesswork out for moms and dads. Sessions are structured, capped, and intentionally scheduled around typical nap and lunch windows, so families know exactly what to expect.

Our Experience

A little about us professionally: Michele comes from a family deeply rooted in the education field, is a mother, wife, and recently published author of The Scaffolding Team Saves the Day, as well as a Director of Business Operations in the corporate world. Michael is a proud husband, father, Cyber Security Manager and sits on the board for the NYC/LI ISC2 chapter. But our proudest titles are mom and dad, and that perspective drives everything we do at The Weekend Kids Club. We started this business because we know what it’s like to navigate weekends with young children, and we’re here to make it easier, more fun, and more meaningful for every family.
